There are some fantastic apps and gadgets out there perfect for busy event planners. Many have been shortlisted in various top 10’s but here, we share our idea of the perfect smart phone for working in the meetings and events industry…
We know Evernote has been around for a while but the super-organised among us will tell you it’s a good’un that never fails to keep all of our never ending to-do lists compiled in one (neatly organised) place. Use the tagging function to organise EVERYTHING and watch as it sync’s across all of your devices.
2. Sprout Social
In the run up to your event there will be tweets, comments and discussions to keep an eye on and Sprout Social is the perfect tool to manage your social accounts from. The app is useful for doing this on the go and scheduling posts as you think of them!
If you use Hootsuite to organise your social platforms, their app is also pretty good.
This app makes tracking your business travel expenses simple. It’s very easy to use and allows you to take photos of receipts and add internal expense codes to speed up the process.
The Toptableplanner app helps you allocate and organise your seating plans at meetings and events… just drag and drop attendees on to the desired tables or areas on your seating charts.
You might not expect to find TripAdvisor in this list but if you don’t have it already… download the app! Not only is it great for you personally, but if you’re looking for the best restaurants or hotels to take your guests to, there’s no better place to look.
